This book starts of real well. Children who are completely bound up and attending classes, with a young girl narrating in a very precocious tone but incredibly likable, and has multiple POVs. You start by dreading the reasons for these kids being incarcerated and then get horrified a while later. Then for some reason the writer gets a bit lazy and the story gets a bit formulaic. However he ends it well. The characters are all stereotpical but still relatable. I really enjoyed this book and intend to read it again. Definite page turner.
