A microscopic group of Zoroastrians came from the province of Pars in Ancient Persia a little over a 1000 years ago to Gujrat in India. They were called Parsis.
They adopted Gujrati as their language and Hindu customs in deference to the local ruler who gave them refuge. In recent years they have migrated to the five Continents and now number over 100,000.
The magic of Indian spices titillated their palates and Parsi cuisine evolved, sweet, spicy and sour like their temperaments,to satisfy their love of gastronomy.
MANNA OF THE ANGELS,is a compilation of Traditional Parsi Recipes adapted to modern day cooking.
