Jill Brenner happily goes along with her fifth-grade classmates as they make fun of an overweight student named Linda. Despite the fact that Linda hasn't done anything to deserve such treatment, she is constantly picked on by the others and nicknamed Blubber. When Jill finally does stand up for Linda, she discovers what it is like to be picked on when Linda's tormentors turn their attentions towards her.
